Dr. Mark A. Pacchiano PT, MTC, CSCS, STS

Dr. Mark, owner and founder of CORE Physical Therapy & Sport Rehabilitation, received his Doctorate in Physical Therapy from the University of St. Augustine, in St Augustine Florida, his Masters in Physical Therapy from Sacred Heart University in Fairfield Connecticut, and BA in Biology from Lycoming College in Williamsport PA. Dr. Mark also received his manual therapy certification (MTC) from the University of St. Augustine, in St. Augustine Florida.

Dr. Mark is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA), New York Physical Therapy Association, Member of the Orthopedic, Sports physical therapy, private practice sections of the APTA. He is a member of the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) and is certified as a strength and conditioning specialist (CSCS) including member of the International Weightlifting Association (IWA) as a Strength Training Specialist.

Dr. Mark has 20 yrs of experience working in the field of physical therapy. Prior to opening CORE PT in 2006, Dr. Mark work at NYU Medical Center/Rusk Institute practicing physical therapy in acute care/ICU, cardiac and pulmonary rehabilitation, neurosurgical and orthopedic departments. Dr. Mark also had training in performing chest physical therapy and postural drainage techniques for patents with pulmonary conditions including lung transplants. Dr. Mark worked at the Rusk institute of rehabilitation medicine in the inpatient rehabilitation department carrying for patients with orthopedic and neurological conditions including patients who underwent amputation requiring prosthetic training and wheelchair evaluations. Dr. Mark also had the opportunity to be a member of Rusk’s wheelchair clinic to provide seating evaluations and recommendations to improved patient’s quality of life.

While practicing at NYU Medical Center Dr. Mark received new graduate award in 2000, skills award in rehabilitation 2001 and 2002, NYU Spotlight Award in 2001 and advanced outpatient skills award in 2003 As an athlete who played high school and college football, Dr. Mark has always had a deep-rooted passion for sports. This helped him make an easy transition into aiding athletes to achieve their full potential and return to competitive or recreational sports. Majority of the sport rehabilitative athletes who participate in football, MMA fighting, wrestlers, volleyball, swimming and track athletes in high school and collegiate levels. Dr. Mark is a preferred provider for Freedom Aquatics Swim team. Dr. Mark experiences as a runner, provides a connection and understanding individuals who range from your 1 time per week runner to individuals who have trained and completed half marathons, full marathons and iron man competition.

Dr. Mark believes in an integrative, progressive, hands-on approach towards patient care, focusing on the individual needs and personalized goals of each patient. He has a strong interest and background in sport-specific rehab and recovery and ensuring each patient is actively involved in every aspect of his or her care ensuring patient can achieve all their goals and return to their full potential without pain to live an active and healthy lifestyle.

Dr. Mark enjoys working out, mountain biking, jujitsu, Muay Thai kickboxing and running, spending time with his wife, 2 children and their dog.

Dr. Mark sets the mindset “Potential Is Meaningless Without Determination” to every aspect of his life and when treating every one of his patients.

Dr. Christine Chimento PT

Christine Chimento, PT, DPT, graduated from Quinnipiac University with both a B.S. in Health Sciences (2003) and a Master’s Degree in Physical Therapy (2005). She also went on to receive her Doctorate of Physical Therapy in 2011 from Temple University.

She has been practicing physical therapy since 2005 and continues to expand her skills and knowledge by attending numerous continuing education courses.

Christine combines her upbeat personality and compassion with a strong orthopedic background to achieve the best results possible for her patients. She loves helping patients return to work and all the activities that they enjoy without pain. Dr. Chimento utilizes patient education along with manual techniques and individualized exercise programs to help patients reach optimal mental and physical well-being. Dr. Chimento implements into her practice kinesiotape, McConnell taping, IASTM and hands on approach with all patients.

When not working, Christine enjoys spending time with her husband, 2 daughters and their dog. She loves traveling, watching movies and exercising.
